Guests

I am a lucky dog: we have two guests staying at our place and they play with me! Now I have twice the change of finding a playmate!

They even want to play the thrilling and dangerous feet play. This means they wriggle their toes and shuffle their feet, while I jump around and try to bite them in their toes. Not really bite them of course, if I did that the game would be over too soon. No, I pretend to bite them and they pretend to be scared. It is my favorite game.

When they come home after a day of sightseeing and enter the house I greet them in my own very special bouncy barky way. They greet me by saying “hello miss Ferocious’! I like that. I am miss Ferocious!

These guests are from the US, so my English is improving, too. Today I learned that in English there are three words for hitting: slap, punch and hit. In Dutch we have only one word for that. Not that it is very useful to me, because dogs do not slap, punch or hit. We paw. I’ll ask them if they have more words for that, too. I already learned pawsome. A very nice word. These guests are pawsome!
