I had a great weekend. M and P packed the campervan – again. They just can’t get enough of it, apparently. It is nice to be with humans who like to go on an Adventure so often! This is where we went:
A campsite inside a national park in the Netherlands. It is a very pretty spot, green and quiet. What is extra special about this park: they have bikes, free to use for visitors. M and P both took a bike and I ran beside them (I’m not very good at cycling, I rather run). That is how we explored the park.
M tells me I ran about 35 kilometers in this entire weekend. That’s a lot! I liked it, but it was a bit exhausting, too. It is good we stopped often, to relax.
We explored the great woods in the park….
We got up very early to see the sun rise above the moorlands.
We even encountered some wildlife. There is a lot of game in this park, I smelled it all around us.
It was a great weekend. Another Adventure!
We are on a pretty campsite near the sea and our spot is, how shall I call it… challenging. From a guarding perspective, that is. This is what it looks like where we are now, this is the view from our camper van:
You can see the sea, some islands in the distance, a few boats. Between the stony beach and our camping spot there is a path. It usually is a very busy path, with lots of humans walking and cycling by. Some have dogs. There even is a bad mannered black cat lurking around here. You can imagine I am very busy because M and P chose this spot. I have to guard all day. It is tiring. I mean: I am on holiday too! I would like to rest! Jeez. I hope they will pick a more quiet spot on our next campsite.
I am very relieved. Yesterday Cesar Millan’s show was in Amsterdam and we did not go. Mr. Millan must have told M the show was booked, as I asked him! Thank you, mr. Millan! I will be forever grateful. Because now we went to do fun things this weekend.
We went to a campsite in the woods, with our campervan, and stayed the night. It was very nice: quiet and sunny and with lots of interesting smells. Just outside the terrain the ground was all messed up, burrowed by something that smelled like wild boar. It was mouth watering!
We took some long walks and, the best part of it, P threw balls for me. He threw very far, so I had to run very fast. This is us, playing:
We are still in France, not in the mountains anymore, but in (M says) the Dordogne. It is nice here: there are hills and forests and sunshine. Yesterday we had an Adventure on the campsite. There are a lot of dogs here and usually we guard our own campervan / tent / caravan. But yesterday, we immediately recognized the urgency of the situation and we guarded the camping, as one. This is what attacked us. It was big and very noisy:
We barked, we growled, we showed our teeth. Even the tiny Bichon at the corner of the field joined us. And we succeeded: the big monsters went away! Oh yeah.
