I am a lucky dog. You know why? I made a list of all the things that make me so lucky:
I could have been a poor and skinny stray dog in Greece, but I became a wealthy city dog. Because some loving humans organized for me and my friends to come to Holland and they got us adopted. This is me, 5 months old and new in Holland. Cute, hey? No wonder M and P adopted me on the spot!
I get lots of yummy food, sometimes really fancy stuff:
I have nice soft warm beds on every floor in our house:
We have this as our backyard:
And this (when you take the other turn):
I do all sorts of fun stuff. Like (when M isn’t looking) fooling around with little dogs. I like to surprise them, so they start running and I can chase them! They are always very impressed by my approach.
I have exiting Adventures with my humans, M and P. We travel!
I have loads of friends:
On top of all that, I have my own blog! Which you are reading now. Thank you for that!
I wonder: what makes you happy? Can you tell me?
M just told me that today is my adoption-birthday: exactly three years ago M and P took me to my new home! As a dog numbers don’t interest me very much, but three years in my new home sounds like something worth celebrating. So we will! We already are, I assure you, because the sun is shining on my favorite chair and I am dozing happily. Sunshine always is a nice gift. Later on we will go to the beach and after that I will get a nice snack, M tells me. Great! I feel like it is my birthday.
When M and P took me to my new home, three years ago, I did not know what to expect. I admit I was a bit scared – going with a couple of total strangers. I was very young at that time, only 5 months old, and although I did have some experience in life (growing up in a Greek shelter, traveling to Holland when I was 4 months old and living with a foster family) this trip to my new home was kind of frightening. As you can see by the look on my face:
However everything turned out to be fine, as you all know. I grew up to be a strong and happy dog, the fastest on the beach. I even got my own blog! Life has been good to me.
