Camping

We went camping this weekend! On the campsite where we were before, the one with all the rabbits. This time there were even more rabbits, but they stayed well away from our campervan. I had mixed feelings about this: I would have liked to catch one of them to present it to M for sharing (I hear that rabbits taste delicious when humans have removed all the furry stuff). But I also like them to be Respectful and stay clear of the campervan.

Anyway, we had a nice spot:

‘We’ in this case was me and M and a friend of M, who’s name is also M. That is a bit confusing, for humans. Not to me of course, because like all dogs I do not care much about names. It is the amount of cookies they give me that counts. And that was all right with this friend: she gave me lots. So I decided to allow her in my campervan.

We made long walks in the pretty woods surrounding the campsite:

It was good to go camping again. I wish we will do it more!

Forest bliss

What can I say. Woods, little paths, a myriad of smells, little woodland things that tickle between my toes. Bliss!

I slept a little extra for a few days, recovering from my holiday with Nicoline. Holidays with her and her pack are nice, but strenuous like a bootcamp. A bootcamp for a week! So I was tired. But not anymore. I am ready for some running in the woods and on the beach!

Photo shoot

I just got home from a holiday with my personal trainer Nicoline and her pack of bandidos. It was good! It was a bit disappointing that M and P went on a holiday without me, again, but well. I have a positive attitude, I won’t hold it against them since they arranged a holiday for me as well. This time this was our pack, the core of it – it extends when Nicoline picks up some more bandidos. She is a dog walker too, you know. The gorgeous looking guy next to me is Boss, my favorite boyfriend.

I did not mind posing for the picture, but I did mind that we were sitting on a very nice doggy bed – the one I had picked as mine during this particular holiday. So when the photo shoot was over, I claimed it once again.

By the way: we did not travel in the usual dog walker van to the beach, but in a campervan, like I told you in my previous post. Of course I sat on the front seat, next to Nicoline, while all the rest of the pack had to sit behind us, on the floor. Nice.

Nightmare

As you probably know we have a campervan and it is my job to guard it. I do this with pleasure, like I guard our house and our cargobike and everything else that is mine. I do allow some dogs to sit next to me in my cargobike, like Hester and Zuid. But I do not like them to enter my house and certainly not my campervan. That is my territory.

Bubbles and bus

So it was quite a shock to me to see what Nicoline, my personal trainer, is doing to her campervan. When we go out with our pack she drives us in her van, a real dog walker van with loads of space for all of us. She also has a campervan of her own and apparently she is using that to get the pack to the beach too! She send me this picture. It is a real nightmare for me to imagine this happening to my campervanI sure do hope M won’t get any ideas when she sees this. I would never allow this to happen in my campervan!

Run!

We had a nice run, M and I. We did our usual walking track, through the forest and the dunes and the beach and back. But this time we did it as a running training, well, kind of a running training. As I wrote before M does this training that feels more like playing than like a heavy workout. I like that, I always prefer playing above serious stuff. The catch in this method is that it feels like playing but actually it is quite a workout, M tells me. I wouldn’t know about that, it doesn’t feel like a workout to me. It is just fun, hiking through the forest and the dunes. The pace is not running to me, just a slightly quicker walk.

On the beach M sets me loose so I can do some real running. This morning I ran as fast as I could through the water and I raced over the sand. I am the fastest dog on the beach! I love it.

Run

After this we returned home, M running and me trotting next to her. It would be nice if we could run together, but M would have to become zillions times faster than she is now. She has been training for some time and it hasn’t happened, so I guess this is it for her. P is too slow for me too. Now I think of it: I never met a human who is as fast as I am. So I guess I will have to run on my own. Well, that is okay, I don’t mind.
